Here
at Magnetic Therapy Sales Specialists, we are
always looking for ways to improve our product line
to meet our customer's needs. That is why we are now
introducing our new line of "Spot Therapy"
magnet products. To compliment the popular Mag Dots,
which have been a longtime best seller, we are now offering
a variety of nickel-plated neodymium magnets. These
magnets are available in sizes ranging from ¼
in. x 1mm through 1 in. x 3mm.

Because
the uses and benefits of magnets are so varied, so too
should be the selection. Whether they are being used
for improved circulation, reduced inflammation, or more
rapid healing, each situation is unique. It is important
to understand that the strength of a magnet (rated in
gauss) is diminished the further it is from the affected
area. While a ¼ in. 1000 gauss magnet may be
suitable for a small, surface type bruise or inflammation,
one or more larger, stronger magnets may be necessary
for deep muscle or joint pain. These magnets, which
vary in strength from 2000 to 3500 gauss, will allow
you to concentrate the power directly to the affected
area.
These
same magnets, which are currently being used by both
Chiropractors and Massage Therapists to treat their
patients, are now available to you. Each magnet is marked
to indicate the Bio-North side, which is placed against
the skin. In addition, we carry a complete line of adhesive
patches and tape designed specifically for use with
these magnets. The patches are made for extended wear
and can be worn in the shower or bathtub.

The
decision as to which size is appropriate for a specific
condition can be narrowed down by considering two factors,
the size and depth of the affected area.. For a surface
type injury such as an insect bite, burn, or bruise
that is concentrated to a small area, or joint pain
to a finger, wrist, or toe, you may be able to get by
with a ¼ in x 2mm magnet. These same magnets
(including the ¼ in. x 1 mm) are also good for
application to pressure points around the ears and temples.
For bruising or joint pain that is deeper within the
muscle or tissue, such as the thigh, back, or shoulder,
you may need to use one or more 1 in. x 3mm magnets
on both sides of the affected area for maximum benefit.
Since
each person's response to magnetic therapy is different,
a certain amount of experimentation is necessary to
determine what is best for him or her. That is why we
have decided to offer this assortment of "Spot
Therapy" magnets. We want you to be able to control
where and how much magnetic strength you need for your
particular situation.
