Here are our most frequent questions about using
and caring for magnetic products:
How
long should I wear a magnetic product?
Some specialists recommend
magnetic devices be worn only until pain is relieved,
and reapplied when pain returns. Other specialists recommend
wearing magnetic devices most of the time, giving your
body an occasional break of several days or hours. Some
studies document constant magnet use for up to four
months. Check the manufacturer’s suggested use for your
magnetic product, and if you are not experiencing any
difficulty, base your decision on your results.
Specific
Placement Recommendations:
Head - magnets
may be placed to surround the skull, or simply at painful
trigger points.
Knee or ankle
- try to surround the joint, emphasizing the sides.
Wrist - front
and back placement seems to be best.
Elbow - surrounding
the joint is best - target the bones at the sides of
the elbow joint.
Hip - placement
over the hipbones seems best; this joint generally does
not respond as well as others.
Spine - placement
over the spine or on both sides of it are best; some
studies report the combination of spine and abdomen
to be more effective.
Shoulder - placement
on the front and back is best.
Neck - over or
on either side of the spine, also at the juncture of
the spine and skull.
